Rwanda- Zambia Sign Extradition Treaty

President Kagame and President Lungu witness the signing of bilateral agreements.

Rwanda and Zambia signed extradition treaty to facilitate easy transfer and extradition of national suspected to be in conflict with the law in the respective countries of origin.

This treaty creates an enabling environment for the two countries to administer and dispense justice in various criminal activities involving citizens of both countries.

President Kagame and his counterpart Mr. Lungu, witnessed the signing ceremony.

Call to Return Home

The Rwandan President Paul Kagame called on Rwandans living in Zambia to return home.

Kagame also thanked Zambians for accommodating his fellow countrymen who fled that country in the aftermath of the 1994 Rwandan genocide,” reported state radio.

During the presidential visit both countries signed agreements on air services, defence and security.

Both presidents agreed to explore areas of cooperation for their mutual benefit.
