Rwanda Stock Exchange bourse picks up

The Rwanda Stock Exchange share index (RSI) went up 2.89 points to close at 231.58 and mainly pushed by the rising BoK and KCB share price which closed at Rwf 246 and Rwf 185 respectively. Yesterday there was barely any activity on the counters.

 

Today on RSE, the market recorded 2,400 BoK shares; 22,000 Bralirwa shares and 100 KCB shares valued at Rwf 18, 709,200 in fourteen deals compared to the previous trading session which was quiet with no shares recorded.

 

BoK shares traded between Rwf 230-246 and closed at Rwf 246, registering an increase of Rwf 11 compared to yesterday’s closing price whereas Bralirwa counter traded between Rwf 810-827 and closed at Rwf 827,unchanged from yesterday’s closing price.

 

KCB counter traded and closed at Rwf 185, registering an increase of Rwf 10 compared to yesterday’s closing price. NMG shares last transacted at Rwf 1,200 while Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf 175.

 

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 196,000 BoK shares between Rwf 246-250 and no outstanding bids.

On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 161,100 shares between Rwf 835-890 and outstanding bids of 2,700 shares at Rwf 810. On KCB counter; there were outstanding bids of 12,400 shares between Rwf175-180 and no outstanding offers.

On NMG counter; there was an outstanding bid of 1,000 shares at Rwf 1,200 and no outstanding offers
