The Rwanda Stock Exchange today slumped to a week-ending low as a total turnover of Rwf 6,887,100. Usually-busy counters such as Bank of Kigali and BRALIRWA totaled just one transaction each, of 53,400 shares traded at Rwf 127 and one transaction of 300 shares traded at Rwf 351 respectively.

This comes in stark comparison to yesterday’s session which registered a total turnover of Rwf 58,058,300 from 430,100 BK shares and 11,000 BRALIRWA shares traded in 5 deals.

Share prices remained largely unchanged from yesterday’s closing mark of Rwf 127 for BK, while BRALIRWA’s share price closed up Rwf 1 at Rwf 351. Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and Nation Media Group (NMG) shares last transacted at Rwf 140 and Rwf 1,200 respectively.
