Rwanda Fuel Prices Fall Slightly in July Review

Motorists in Rwanda will have a sigh of relief for the next one month after the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) slashed fuel prices.

RURA has announced a marginal drop in fuel prices starting Thursday. In the reviewed rates, Petrol prices went down to Rwf935 per litre while Diesel was cut to Rwf 935 effective July 6.

Patrick Nyirishema the director general of RURA said that this price is expected to be reviewed at the end of August 2017, in order to take into account international price changes.

RURA says the current published pump price will not affect public transport fares in place.
