Rwanda bourse slows in activity

The Rwanda Bourse share index (RSI) remained unchanged compared to the previous trading session of 265.94; partly caused by the slow business activities in Kigali, as the country prepares to enter into the 20th Genocide commemoration period, slated for April 7th.

The total turnover for the day was Rwf 109,551,500 from 61,900 BoK shares; 102,900 Bralirwa shares and 100 Uchumi Supermarket shares traded in twelve deals compared to the previous trading session which recorded a total turnover of Rwf 81,372,000 from 239,400 BoK shares and 2,800 Bralirwa shares traded in seventeen deals.

BoK shares traded between Rwf 330-340 and closed at Rwf 340, unchanged from yesterday’s closing price whereas Bralirwa counter traded between Rwf 865-875 and closed at Rwf 875, unchanged from yesterday’s closing price.

 Uchumi Supermarket shares traded and closed at Rwf 175 unchanged from yesterday’s closing price. KCB shares last transacted at Rwf 185 while NMG last transacted at Rwf 1,200.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding bids of 2,500 BoK shares at Rwf 330 and no outstanding offers. On Bralirwa counter, there was an outstanding offer of 26,400 shares at Rwf 890 and outstanding bids of 2,300 shares between Rwf 865-875.
