Rwanda bourse picks up pace

Rwanda Stock Exchange

The Rwanda Stock Exchange share index (RSI) went up 0.79 points to close at 253.08 mainly pushed by the rising BK share price which closed at Rwf270.

The total turnover for the day was Rwf6,385,000 from 10,200 Bralirwashares;6,800 BK shares and 500 USL shares traded in 6 deals, compared to the yesterday’s trading session which recorded a total turnover of Rwf3,457,300 from 2,600 Bralirwa shares and 8,600 BK shares traded in 4 deals.

The BK counter traded and closed at Rwf270, up compared to the last closing price whereas Bralirwa counter traded between Rwf440-445 and closed at Rwf 445 constant compared to the yesterday’s closing price.

Uchumi Supermarket counter traded and closed at Rwf104, down compared to the last closing price. On the other hand KCB and NMG shares last transacted at Rwf185 and Rwf1,200 respectively.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding bids of 72,900 BK shares between Rwf250-270 and no outstanding offers.

On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 452,500 shares between Rwf449-455 and no outstanding bids. On Uchumi Supermarket counter there was an outstanding offer of 6,500 shares at Rwf104 and no outstanding bids.
