Rwanda bourse gets good head start

Rwanda share index (RSI) went up 2.65 points to close at 263.17 mainly pushed by the rising of BK share price which closed at 285 as the trading week kicked off this Monday.

The total turnover for the day was Rwf486,000 from 700 shares of Bralirwa and 600 BK shares traded in 5 deals compared to the last trading session which recorded a total turnover of Rwf890, 133,600 from 22,200 shares of Bralirwa and 3, 154,900 BK shares traded in 8 deals.

Bralirwa shares traded between Rwf450-460 and closed at Rwf460 constant compared to the last closing price, whereas BK counter traded between Rwf280-285 and closed at Rwf285 up Rwf10 compare to the last closing price. On the other hand KCB, NMG and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf185, Rwf1200 and Rwf175 respectively.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 212,300 BK shares between Rwf270-305 and no outstanding bids. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 34,700 shares at Rwf460 and outstanding bids of 144,900 shares between Rwf445-450.
