BNR to host an International Conference on Monetary Policy Frameworks

The National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) will this week host an International Conference on “Monetary Policy Frameworks in Developing Countries: Practice and Challenges”.

The Conference which will take place at Kigali Serena Hotel from July 19 – 20, 2012 will bring together National Bank governors from the whole of Africa.

According to BNR, the purpose of this Conference is to share experiences, current practices and challenges on Monetary Policy Management in developing countries.

The conference will however be preceded with the launch of Mr. Louis Kasenkende’s book on July 18, 2012. Kasekende is the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, the country’s central bank and has recently published a book on African economies

The conference will be attended by high profile delegates including Central Bank Governors, Development partners from World Bank, IMF, International Growth Center (IGC), Researchers and Policy Makers in the region and beyond.
