The Rwanda Stock Exchange on Thursday closed the week out strong, registering total turnover in the high 8-figures for a second day running after a string of underwhelming finishes.

BRALIRWA share price also did not disappoint as nothing but an upward trend has come to be expected from the local beverage-making stalwart. BRALIRWA shares closed at Rwf 569 a share, as its unprecented rise continues.

The total turnover for the day was Rwf 18,439,300 from 43,100 Bank of Kigali (BK) shares and 22,700 BRALIRWA shares traded in seven deals compared to Wednesday’s trading session which recorded a turnover of Rwf 18,002,000 from 100,000 BK shares; 8,800 Bralirwa shares and 200 KCB shares traded in ten deals.

Bank of Kigali share price maintained its customary Rwf 130 mark, despite featuring prominently in the day’s trading. BRALIRWA shares, as aforementioned, closed at Rwf 569, four Rwandan Francs to the better, having dipped slightly during the day to Rwf 565 but recovered in time to better the previous trading session’s mark.

Kenya Commerical Bank (KCB) counter was quiet and remained unchanged at Rwf 154 while Nation Media Group (NMG) shares last transacted at Rwf 1,200.

The clamoring for BRALIRWA shares continued, as there were outstanding bids of 35,000 shares between Rwf 564 and Rwf 565, but no outstanding offers.

There were also bids of 1,500 BK shares at Rwf 129 and outstanding offers of 615,600 shares between Rwf 130 and Rwf 132.
