RSE Report: BRALIRWA closes week on a high

update_1heineken_unit_bralirwa_adds_62_pct_on_rwanda_debutAfter a massive total turnover yesterday owing mainly to BRALIRWA stock, the former was again the main focus at the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE).

BRALIRWA share price recorded a new high of Rwf 520 a share, as the record-breaking climb up the share price charts continues for the beverage maker.

The price was settled on at the end of trading hours after briefly bouncing between Rwf 516 and Rwf 520. Bank of Kigali (BK) shareholders were however not as fortunate, as its share price closed Rwf 1 less than the previous mark, at Rwf 131. Nation Media Group (NMG) and Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) saw no movement at all as none of the two companies stock was traded, holding at Rwf 1,200 and Rwf 154 respectively.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 1,230,500 BK shares between Rwf 130 and Rwf 132 and no outstanding bids. On the BRALIRWA counter, there were outstanding bids of 50,400 shares between Rwf 511 and Rwf 521 and no outstanding offers.

Total turnover, while less than that accrued yesterday, was still robust at Rwf 24,903,600 from 118,400 BK shares and 18,200 BRALIRWA shares traded in five separate deals.

Yesterday’s trading session which recorded a turnover of Rwf 80,091,000 from 156,600 BRALIRWA shares traded in eleven deals.

Weekly outlook

Another good week as total turnover bettered the mark set last week. The total turnover for this week was Rwf 176,209,700 from 118,400 BK shares and 317,900 BRALIRWA shares traded in 28 deals compared to last week’s trading session which recorded a turnover of Rwf 62,637,200 from 391,600 BK shares and 23,700 BRALIRWA shares traded in 22 deals.
