Fearing for a change that might destroy what the exemplary leader has built in Rwanda, residents of Musange sector in Nyamagabe district said whoever wants to replace Kagame in years to come should be put on probation.
Residents revealed this on July 22 during the visit by parliamentarians in the national consultation on the possibility of changing the constitution.
Residents said that President Paul Kagame should continue to rule and whoever wants to takeover should be put on probation first.
One resident Matilde said: “To me, Kagame should stay in power until he feels like retiring. However, the person to take over him at that time will be given two terms as usual but can change if that leader proves to be worthy.”
Francois Iyamuremye, another resident highlighted that he owes his social development to H.E Paul Kagame, saying no one can match him.
“We will for vote Kagame again and again, who else can replace him? He improved my social condition through VUP, I want Kagame nobody else,” he said.
