Ngororero: Privatization to foster district development

The district council in Ngororero is embarking on privatization program; a step that officials claim it will boost district development.

District authorities say privatization is expected to increase business profits in the area despite few investors and limited business activities.

Local leaders argue that the district failure to manage business is due to other development activities among which is to help business community achieve their goals

Ngororero district has already privatized 50 percent of its shares Guest House in Ngororero town, a cassava and maize milling factory in Muhororo sector.

Muhororo factory is another commercial resource for privatization

Emmanuel Bigenimana, president of Ngororero district council highlights that selling districts shares to investors will improve service delivery.

 He added that privatization will help the district council to monitor business activities opportunities for investors and their progress other than being involved in the operation.
