NEC Registers Over 3,000 Election Observers

The Rwanda National Election Commission (NEC) has said that over 3,000 individuals coming from different countries have registered their names to be election observers.

This figure is expected to increase t by the August 04 election day.

The announcement comes as candidates are campaigning across the country. According to NEC the observers have begun to perform their duty.

“Now we have registered 307 from different countries Africa, Asia, as well as Europe… There are some observers who are already following up the campaigns deeds” Prof Kalisa Mbanda, the President of the National Election Commission told the media.

The EU will not send an observer mission to Rwanda just like how it was in 2010.
