Musanze: Entrepreneurs commended for investing in hometown

Entrepreneurs in Musanze District have been acknowledged for investing in their district rather than other places which promotes fast development in Musanze district.

This was said by Mrs. Winifrida Mpembyemungu, mayor of Musanze district during the talks that gather entrepreneurs and public sector (RPPD) with an aim of devising means to solve problems entrepreneurs meet in their daily life.

“We thank investors for thinking about their home area. They build hotels here and others, that’s why we see a lot of development activities in Musanze,” the mayor highlights.

Rwanda Private Public Dialogue (RPPD) is a platform where the private and public sectors will come together to improve the business environment.

During the talks, Severin Byusa, head of private sector in Musanze district asserted that their development goals are more achieved when they deal with public sectors.

Byusa gives an example of how private sector and public sector first reach an agreement before deciding on anything about taxes, cleanliness and others.

Talking on the challenges private sector in Musanze is facing, he highlighted banks delays to give them loans when they are awarded tenders and that sometimes their tenders are given to other contractors.

Leon Pierre Rusanganwa, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at Private Sector Federation (PSF) said that according to the country’s economy, changes should be made to promote development in business environment.
