Local bourse recovers from slow activity

Rwanda stock market today hit the roof making a significant exchange of hands as the index and all shares went up 1.00 and 0.12 point then closed at 122.91 and 127.63 respectively.

Bank of Kigali counter closed at Frw 240 (Frw 236 previous). The trading session recorded a total turnover of Frw 1,102,800 from 4,700 shares traded in 3 deals.

Crystal telecom counter closed at Frw 90 (Frw 90 previous). The trading session recorded a total turnover of Frw 225,000 from 2,500 shares traded in 1 deal.

The equities counters closed as follows: BLR: Frw 140; EQTY: Frw 334; NMG: Frw 1200; KCB: Frw 330; and USL: Frw 104.

There was little on the equities market while the bonds market remained quiet.  At the end of the formal trading hours, on BK counter there were outstanding offers of 10,300 shares at Frw 240-245 and no bids.

On BLR counter there were outstanding offers of 44,100 shares between Frw 140-143 and no bids.

On CTL counter, there were outstanding offers of 220,000 shares between Frw 90-95 and outstanding bids of 2,700 shares at Frw 88.

On the bond market, there was an outstanding offer of Frw 500,000 worth of bonds at Frw 103 and an outstanding bid of Frw 500,000 worth of bonds at Frw 100
