Kagame meets dream team to drive AU independence

Rwandan President Paul Kagame, hosted another meeting of the advisory group on African Union reform at Muhazi, in Eastern Province.

According to a statement from President’s office the group took note of progress made since the last meeting in defining the capabilities needed to deliver on the African Union’s mission and implement the Kigali decision on financing.

President Paul Kagame picked the a team of eminent persons he expects to work with as he leads efforts to reform the African Union into a more credible and self-reliant body.

Kagame was given the assignment at the 27th AU Summit held in Kigali to lead the overhaul of the continental body.
