Rwandans have started casting their votes in which strongman Paul Kagame is widely expected to cruise to a third term in office.

Kagame faces two little-known candidates Frank Habineza of the Democratic Green Party and the only independent candidate Philippe Mpayimana.

More than 6 million people are registered to vote. Polls close at 3pm local time.

Former president Pasteur Bizimungu has also done it. He looks excited and all went well according to him

In Nyanza district, the visually impaired have continued to participate in the presidential polls.
