Former Mining Minister Evode Imena Arrested

Police in Kigali have arrested Evode Imena, the former Rwandan minister of state in charge of mining, Rwanda Eye has established.

Evode is currently detained according to reports so far confirmed by police authorities.

The Police spokesperson ACP Theo Badege told the media that Evode was in police custody but asked for more time to be able to divulge the reasons for the arrest.

“All I can tell you is that he is a suspect like others,” said Badege promising to get back to us.
