The Extra Ordinary General Assembly of Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) appointed Mrs. Uwamahoro Latifah Tharcille as the New Secretary General of Rwanda Football federation.
Uwamahoro is replacing secretary general Mulindahabi Olivier who served a six-month jail sentence over malpractices linked to the tender for the construction of the planned 88-room FERWAFA Hotel.
Vicent Degaule Nzabamwita, the president of Ferwafa told Rwanda Eye that the new secretary general is believed to be a woman of potential.
FERWAFA also signed football development partnerships with Gabon and Angola Football Associations. The football development partnership which was also graced with Morocco FA representative Hajji Mouad.
The General Assembly also approved the prize money for the Azam Rwanda Premier League 2016/17 and 2016 Peace Cup Tournament.
Officials say that the increase in prize money is aimed at giving value to the league and bringing motivation to clubs to stage competitive performances in the upcoming season
The champion will bag Rwf 25m, while the top two: Rwf three million.
