Rwanda bourse affected by Bank of Kigali shares

The Rwanda Stock Exchange share index (RSI) went down by 0.26 points to close at 259.59 resulting from a drop in Bank of Kigali (BoK) share price.

The turnover for today’s trading session was Rwf10, 956,200 from 1,200 BoK shares and 12,300 Bralirwa shares traded in four deals compared to yesterday’s turnover of Rwf89, 956,000 from 104,600 Bralirwa shares traded in four deals.

Bralirwa shares traded and closed at Rwf860, unchanged from yesterday’s closing price. BoK shares traded between Rwf 315-316 and closed at Rwf316, translating into a decline of Rwf1 from yesterday’s closing price.

On the other hand Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Nation Media Group (NMG), and Uchumi Supermarket’s (USL) shares last transacted at Rwf185, Rwf1200 and Rwf175 respectively. At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 315,200 BoK shares between Rwf316-331 and no outstanding bids.

On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 36,400 shares between Rwf860- 890 and outstanding bids of 300 shares at Rwf855.

On KCB counter; there were outstanding bids of 5,100 shares between Rwf175-180 and no outstanding offers. On USL counter; there was an outstanding offer of 7,300 shares at Rwf175 and no outstanding bids.
