The Rwanda Stock Exchange share index (RSI) went up 2.55 points to close at 257.44 and mainly pushed by the rising Bralirwa and BoK share prices which closed at Rwf 855 and Rwf 323 respectively. The total turnover for the day was Rwf 82,242,900 from 39,700 BoK shares and 82,100 Bralirwa shares traded in 13 deals compared to the last Friday trading session which recorded a total turnover of Rwf 168,771,500 from 194,100 Bralirwa shares traded in 3 deals.
BoK shares traded between Rwf 320-323 and closed at Rwf 323, registering an increase of Rwf 2 compared to the last Friday’s closing price whereas Bralirwa counter traded between Rwf 845-855 and closed at Rwf 855, registering an increase of Rwf 10 compared to the last Friday’s closing price. KCB shares last transacted at Rwf 185 while NMG and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf 1,200 and Rwf 175 respectively.
At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding bids of 75,900 BoK shares between Rwf 295-321 and an outstanding offer of 12,500 shares at Rwf 350. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 26,900 shares at Rwf 890 and an outstanding bid of 114,500 shares at Rwf 855. On KCB counter; there were outstanding bids of 12,500 shares
In the meantime, KCB ltd’s Directors have resolved to recommend to members at the forthcoming forty third Annual General Meeting a first and final dividend for the year 2013 of Kshs 2.00 per share to be paid on or about Friday, June 13 th, 2014 subject to the Annual General Meeting approval that will take place on May 9 th, 2014. The book closure date will be May 12th, 2014.
