Bralirwa, BK share prices unchanged at local bourse

At both Bank of Kigali and Bralirwa counters, share prices remained unchanged on Monday from the last trading recorded on Friday last week.

BoK and Bralirwa shares prices closed at a price of Rwf255 and Rwf454 respectively on Friday which remained unchanged on Monday.

Also at the local bourse on Friday, KCB shares last transacted at Rwf 185 while NMG transacted at Rwf1,200 and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf175.

The  market on Monday was quite  with no trades recorded in comparison to 57,300 BoK shares and 85,500 Bralirwa shares worth Rwf53,299,500 recorded  as this also saw  the  RSE share index (RSI) also remaining  unchanged from the previous trading session on Friday  of 253.16.

At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 234,400 BK shares between Rwf250-275 and no outstanding bids. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 89,000 shares between Rwf455-465 and outstanding bids of 107,100 shares at Rwf450

On the other hand, there were no transactions recorded on the Rwanda Stock exchange bond market today (Monday) as there were no transactions recorded on Government and Corporate bonds.

Meanwhile, to boost the bond market, a new five year Government Bond worth Rwf15 Billion  expected to be  issued  on  27th August 2014 whilst, the  seven year Bond will be  issued  in November  this year as  the Central bank embarks on awareness campaign to bring both  international  and local institutional investors  on  board.
