BPR Changes Leadership Team

Atlas Mara (ATMA), the 62.1% majority shareholder of Banque Populaire Du Rwanda Limited (BPR), has announced changes to its executive leadership team, with regards to accelerating strategic execution of its core business: Commercial and Retail Banking, Fintech, and Markets and Treasury.

Previously, Sanjeev Anand, the current managing director of BPR, has been appointed as the Group managing director for retail and commercial banking.

With immediate effect, Linda Kalimba Mulenga, was appointed as the acting chairperson following the resignation of John Vitalo as CEO.

Sources from ATMA told Rwanda Eye that Sanjeev will continue to remain responsible for BPR as all operating countries in ATMA will be reporting to him.
