BK shares drop as bourse records low performance

The Rwanda stock index and all shares index went down 0.25 and 0.03 point then closed at 129.70 and 128.48 respectively.

The stock exchange, today, had only a few equities changed hands while the bonds market remained quiet.

The Bank of Kigali (BK) counter closed at Frw 269 (Frw 270 previous). The trading session recorded a total turnover of Frw 165,659,700 from 618,200 shares traded in 4 deals.

Crystal telecom (CTL) counter closed at Frw 70 (Frw 70 previous). The trading session recorded a total turnover of Frw 224,000 from 3,200 shares traded in 3 deals.

At the end of the formal trading hours, on BK counter there were outstanding offers of 2,423,400 shares between Frw 269-280 and no bids.

On the Bralirwa (BLR) counter there were outstanding offers of 150,300 shares at Frw 144 and no bids. On CTL counter, there were outstanding offers of 215,800 shares between Frw 70-77 and no bids.

On the bond market, there were outstanding offers of Frw 9,400,000 worth of bonds between Frw 102-106 and an outstanding bid of 15,000,000 worth of bonds at Frw 104.

The equities counters closed as follows: BLR: Frw 144; EQTY: Frw 334; NMG: Frw 1200; KCB: Frw 330; and USL: Frw 104.
