The national Police of Rwanda has for the third time entrusted Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Theos Badege as the commissioner public relations office and spokesman for the force.
Badege had as of recent been serving as Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) – an appointment he received in 2013 after he served as spokesman for a long time.
He replaces ACP Celestin Twahirwa who has been also appointed as chief of Community Policing in the new changes published by the Rwanda police today.
The shakeup in the police comes at a time when the force has is undergoing reforms and has been placed under the management of the Ministry of Justice according to the recent cabinet held at the beginning of October 2016.
